After almost 33 years of continuous service at Red Oaks Nursing home in Henfield, much-loved carer Sue Parsons has decided to retire.

Staff and residents at the home sent Sue off in style with champagne and presents to thank her for many years of dedication. Everyone at the home has very fond memories of Sue and she will be sadly missed.

During her time at Red Oaks, Sue has worked her way up from being a Care Assistant and later a Senior Care Assistant to Home Trainer and Team Leader.

Sue Parsons said: “Red Oaks is like a family to me and though I’m looking forward to retirement, I’m really going to miss everyone here so much!”

Louise Pocock the Administrator at Red Oaks said: “Sue is one of those people who was born to care for others – she has such a huge heart and was greatly loved by the individuals living at Red Oaks Care Home. She was an inspiration to her colleagues and a motivating team leader. We will all miss her and wish her all the best!”
