Hungry hedgehogs are being fed well thanks to a Horsham café and its customers.
Rosie Lee & Me, a café and shop in Piries Place, has been asking customers to donate pet food to feed injured and homeless wildlife being looked after by local charity Care for the Wild.
Since they opened their ‘donation station’ a couple of weeks ago, Rosie Lee & Me has had numerous donations of all kinds of food from its customers.
Owner Jane Hart-Coombes, said: “We’re delighted by the generosity of our customers! We had a big bucket to fill but it’s brimming over now – obviously the people of Horsham care about animals, which is great!”
Care for the Wild CEO Philip Mansbridge said: “We want to thank both Rosie Lee & Me and their customers for their kindness.
“We’ve had a steady stream of injured animals in recently, particularly a large number of hedgehogs, and we were struggling to feed them all! So these donations have been very gratefully received!”
The charity, based at 72 Brighton Road, is always grateful for food donations, particularly cat food and wild bird food, so if anyone can help, please drop it off at Rosie Lee & Me, or directly to Care for the Wild.
