On Thursday July 14 and Friday 15, the Year 6 children from The Southwater Junior Academy once again took over the Capitol Theatre to perform the pantomime ‘Cinderella and Rockerfella. Did they wow the audiences?

Oh yes they did! Performing to a packed house on each night, the children had the audience clapping along to a plethora of catchy songs, laughing out loud at a host of rollicking jokes, and of course, booing and hissing at the baddies.

With an abundance of sparkle and shine, every child was a star, performing as they all did with energy and enthusiasm.

The show was directed by the illustrious Sarah Esser, who managed to bring out the very best in every child. With Mr Rob Cooper adding his talent on the piano and academy staff working tirelessly behind the scenes, this year’s production was an absolute triumph.
