A budding entrepreneur is asking for the public’s to help kick-start their new business.

Alison Roberts grew up near Storrington and has entered the ‘Pitch to Rich’ competition which she is hoping will give her the platform to begin her business career and launch new company Becket Collection.

The competition is run by Virgin Media Business and the winner will receive a share of the £1m prize pot to help with a marketing campaign as well as mentoring and business advice for 12 months.

Members of the public have been asked to vote for the idea they feel should win with the top 50 going on to be judged.

Alison’s businesses idea is to create a new gym kit bag which will look more professional and allow people to take it with them to work.

She also said the bag will be split into compartments to separate work and gym items as well as being specially designed to fit into any locker.

Alison said: “If you are able to get across to vote, I would love to know and be able to thank you personally; and if you want to share it with friends, or shout it from the roof tops, I would be so grateful for the additional support! Every vote counts.”

Voting closes on May 5.
