Judge Dredd and Batman are heading to Horsham’s Swan Walk this weekend.

They will be descending on Gobsmack Comics’ pop up shop on Saturday (September 12) as part of a fun day which will also include superhero face painting, hero cupcakes and live demonstrations by comicbook artists.

A colouring competition will be held for kids with a chance to win 12in Jake and Finn toys from Adventure Time.

Gobsmack Comics is the brainchild of writer Drew Dewsall and comicbook artist Kris Hazard.

The business sells a wide range of comics and graphic novels, T-shirts, posters, figures and other cool collectibles.

The pair aim to use proceeds from their sales to fund the production and publication of their own original comics, and inspire and back other comicbook creators.

After huge success at comic conventions around the country, the pop up shop has already generated a good response from customers.

“The reaction’s been amazing,” said Drew. “People are saying it’s great, they’ve been dying to see a shop like this in Horsham.

“We’re here until the end of September, but we’d really love to come back again in the future.”

The Gobsmack Comics pop up shop can be found in Swan Walk near the top entrance to Wilko.
