The Pulborough Post Office will reopen its doors early next year.

The Post Office, in London Road, Pulborough, is due to open on Wednesday, January 4, after building work to enlarge the shop has been completed.

The shop will be open seven days a week providing 111 hours of a service each week – much longer than the previous opening hours.

Post Office services will be delivered from an open-plan till at the conveniences store’s counter during opening hours: Monday - Saturday: 6am to 10pm and from 7am to 10pm on Sundays.

Pulborough Post Office closed temporarily in August 2015 because the Postmaster resigned and the premises were withdrawn for Post Office use.

Before the new branch opens, the new operator has agreed to provide a designated walkway, clearly marked out from the pavement to the shop across the forecourt. In addition, an extension will be added to the shop to accommodate the Post Office and a dedicated disabled parking space will be provided.

The new Post Office will be designed to meet Post Office specification to ensure adequate space and privacy for Post Office customers.
