Keeping Horsham healthy

A NEW healthy lifestyle advice service will be launched by Horsham District Council later this month as part of a West Sussex-wide health prevention initiative.

Known as the Horsham District Health and Wellbeing Hub, its role will be to help promote and improve the health and quality of life of local people.

From September 14 residents can contact the new Horsham District Wellbeing Hub on Tel: 01403 215111 and access a “one stop shop” of information and advice on physical and emotional health matters.

People will be able to talk to a wellbeing advisor about their health concerns and find out about local services and support groups.

Issues they may wish to get help with could include:

Giving Up Alcohol, Smoking, Drugs

Healthy Eating

Creating a Healthy Home

Good Mental Health

Being Active and Social

To ensure that everyone can access the hub, the district council will be working with local organisations to deliver the service across the whole of the district.
