FOREST Neighbourhood Council has written to residents to remind them of the importance of attending a public inquiry about Muggeridge Field in Horsham.
A planning inspector will be holding the inquiry into a proposed development of 70 homes on the land off Athelstan Way at the Council Chamber, Park North, North Street, Horsham, on Tuesday October 25 and 26, starting at 10am.
Neighbourhood council chair Diane Sumpter said: “All interested parties may attend the inquiry and at the inspector’s discretion present any evidence they consider should be put before him.
“There was an overwhelming number of letters sent to Horsham District Council objecting to the planning application.
“It is therefore important that as many local residents as possible go to the appeal to indicate to the inspector there is still objection to the application.
“We know it may be difficult for people to attend for two days but even your presence for a short period could make a real difference.”
