Plans for 2,500 homes to be decided tonight

HORSHAM District Council is tonight (Tuesday) expected to give the go ahead for 2,500 homes to be built on the district’s border with Crawley.

In a planning process last about a decade Horsham District Council planning officers have worked closely with their counterparts at Crawley Borough Council to build a new neighbourhood on land west of Bewbush in the green belt between the two towns.

The HDC development control committee will meet tonight at the Park North offices at 6.30pm to determine the future of the application and four members of Crawley Borough Council will be sitting on the committee as well.

Officers have recommended outline planning permission to be granted.
