THE Blue Oasis Club, Horsham’s club night for people with learning disabilities, will be hosting a Valentine’s theme disco on Wednesday 16 February when it hosts.

The night will feature a host of DJs from the Strawford Centre and from Horsham District Council’s Aiming High programme, plus guest DJs Ironside and Wolfman.

The Aiming High Samba band and dance group will also be making a welcome return.

On the night, hearts could be a flutter as everybody will have the chance to write a short Valentine’s note to somebody they like.

Nick Jenkins, Community Development Officer at Horsham District Council, said: “The club has been running in Horsham for nearly ten years and acts as a social focal point for people with disabilities.

“It provides opportunities for groups and individuals to dance, chill out or network while their peers provide the music and performances for the night; it’s always great fun.”

The club is held at the Drill Hall, Denne Road, Horsham. Doors open at 7pm and costs £3, carers are free.

The Blue Oasis Club is organised by Horsham District Council.
