Have your say

Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) in Horsham and Billingshurst will be discussed at a meeting of North Horsham County Local Committee later this month.

CPZs have been in place in Horsham for several years now, but do you think they have worked?

Have they kept parking in check around the town or have they just moved old problems to new sites?

The meeting will take place on Monday, June 24 at 7pm in the Main Conference Room, County Hall North, Chart Way, Horsham, RH12 1XH.

The Committee will receive a verbal update on the progress of the Horsham Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) review which took place in 2012.

Plans detailing proposals for the CPZ will be on display ahead of the meeting (from 6pm) with a further informal consultation scheduled to take place during the summer.

The Committee will then receive a report following an informal consultation regarding a potential parking scheme in Billingshurst.

They will also consider the implementation of a new Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) in Parkside Mews, Horsham, following a consultation that took place in February.

The proposed TRO would see ‘no waiting at any time’ double yellow lines throughout Parkside Mews.

Other items on the agenda include the election of a Chairman and Vice Chairman for the 2013/14 year, as well as deciding on applications to the Community Initiative Fund and distribution of the Prevention and Wellbeing Grants.

Members of the North Horsham CLC are Peter Catchpole, Nigel Dennis, Amanda Jupp, Michael Hodgson, Morwen Millson, James Rae, David Sheldon and Brad Watson OBE.
