Intruders broke into Horsham’s Non Stop Party Shop last night (July 23).
Lorraine Gregory who works at the shop was one of the first people to arrive at the scene where intruders had forced open the lock on the front door.
At this stage staff are unsure whether anything has been taken.
Ms Gregory said: “It has made me really cross. Why would they target a small company like this?”
A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Police are investigating a late night break-in at a shop in Horsham.
“An alarm was activated in the Non Stop Party Shop in Middle Street a few minutes before 12 midnight on Wednesday night (July 23).
