New features for Spirit of Dance in Worthing

New routines and choreography have been added to hit Irish dance show Spirit Of The Dance which visits the Pavilion Theatre in Worthing on Saturday, May 28 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Spirit Of The Dance has been now performed in 15 countries and each year evolves to include new dance pieces highlighting the changing dance styles around the world.

Featuring Irish dance at its core, the show combines the traditional dance form with the latino rhythms of tango, flamenco and salsa performed by world champion dancers from the Irish International Dance Company.

Producer David King said: “There was no point in producing a show similar to Riverdance. It would not have lasted three months. I composed my own music and gave Spirit Of The Dance its own identity, making the decision very early on that it would break new ground. “The show is based around the world of dance incorporating exciting international dance styles and music inspired by Irish fiddle, classical piano, jazz, big ballads, rock and roll, Broadway and more. Combine them all together, add a sprinkle of imagination, a thumping beat and you have the heart and soul of Spirit Of The Dance.”
