Last month the County Times revealed a new scheme was being proposed to regenerate the area which would see a new cinema, shops and restaurants created.

Proposals have been put forward as a joint venture by property development and investment company Reef Estates and construction and property consultants Arcus.

The latest plans state a three screen Everyman Cinema will be built at the old Waitrose site alongside a new hotel.

Restaurants and cafe units will be created and a number of retail and office units will be retained.

The development will also see the public area of Piries Place enhanced.

It is estimated work could start on the site in spring 2017.

Developers say a planning application will be submitted to Horsham District Council shortly, but are encouraging residents to leave their feedback on the scheme.
