National photographer to give lecture

Steyning Camera Club is holding another of its popular key lectures next Monday, November 26 at the Steyning Centre in Fletchers Croft when Paul Sanders will speak on ‘Editing Pictures for a National Newspaper’.

He began his career as a fashion and advertising photographer, but moved into newspapers in 1991, starting at The Daventry Express before moving on to News Team International. He was appointed Deputy Picture Editor for the Manchester Evening News in 1996 and two years later moved to Reuters, the international news agency. He joined The Times in 2002, and became Picture Editor in 2004. Whilst in this prestigious role he oversaw the entire visual look and feel of the paper as it transitioned from broadsheet to tabloid format. He left the end of December 2011 to pursue his love of landscape photography and launch an after schools project for young children to develop visual and creative awareness through photography.

Tickets are £6 each including refreshments from Steyning Bookshop or online via the club website:www.steyningcc.org.uk Doors open at 7.00pm for 7.30pm start.
