TO PUBLICISE the forthcoming ballet production of “The Mikado”, the cast are donning their sumo wrestling costumes and taking to the Carfax bandstand to give a taste of songs from the show.

The Horsham amateur operatics and dramatic society’s (HAODS) cast will be supported by members of the Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre (BBHLC) Joint User Group on Saturday April 14, from 10am to midday and again from 2pm to 4pm.

HAODS House, where the society’s productions are produced, is part of the current facilities at BBHLC currently under review by Horsham District Council.

The joint user group will be updating the Horsham public on progress with their mission to ‘retain the valuable leisure and community services provided to Horsham District by BBHLC’.

A HAODS spokesman said; “If we as a company lose HAODS House, the company and its 50 plus year history as

a valuable part of the artistic and cultural heritage of Horsham will be brought to an end.”

The Mikado will be performed at the Capitol from April 17-21. Tickets are available for £12 and can be purchased online at www.thecapitolhorsham.com or by calling the box office on 01403 750220.
