The Met Office has upgraded its weather warning for the Horsham district from yellow to amber this afternoon (Wednesday July 11).

Despite the sunshine in the town during lunchtime, there has been localised rain in Crawley and further afield, with flash floods around Worthing.

Now the Met Office is warning that heavy showers and thunderstorms with hail could hit the Horsham district until around 10pm this evening.

A yellow rain warning (the highest warning is red) has been issued for the rest of the week, including Saturday.
