It has been a very busy start to the school year at Leechpool Primary in Horsham.

In the last couple of weeks the school has held its Clubs Fair, where children and their parents could choose from a wide variety of after school clubs including; football, dance, cooking and movie club; held an Ancient Egyptian workshop in conjunction with Horsham Museum, donated a large amount of food to the Open House charity and raised money for Africa by wearing wellies to their Harvest Festival.

They still found time to send two teams to the Windlesham House Maths Tournament where they competed with 78 other teams from the state and private sector. The four mathematicians were Sejal Patel, Georgina Goldsmith, Limni Conway and Jamie Wooding and at the end of the day Sejal and Georgina were crowned overall winners much to the delight of new headteacher Nicola Davenport.
