A former Eastbourne radio presenter who was diagnosed with stage four cancer just nine months after the birth of her first child has unfortunately lost her battle with cancer.

Sharon Plummer, a former Eastbourne radio presenter, as well as working in radio across the county, passed away following a battle with cancer aged 39.

Sharon was well-known in local radio in Sussex, having covered all manner of news stories as a journalist and presenter for Sovereign Radio in Eastbourne, Arrow FM in Hastings and Splash FM in Worthing.

She had recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, just nine months after the birth of her daughter.

Her former colleagues and friends, Joanna Flay and Laura Raymond have set up a fundraising appeal on Go Fund Me to help raise money for Sharon's family, which currently stands at £4,397.
