Former Eastbourne radio presenter diagnosed with cancer just nine months after birth of child loses battle with cancer

Sharon Plummer, a former Eastbourne radio presenter, as well as working in radio across the county, passed away following a battle with cancer aged 39.

Sharon was well-known in local radio in Sussex, having covered all manner of news stories as a journalist and presenter for Sovereign Radio in Eastbourne, Arrow FM in Hastings and Splash FM in Worthing.

"More recently, she's recorded news, voiceovers and audio books for numerous clients across the country from her home studio in Lincolnshire.”

She had recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, just nine months after the birth of her daughter.

Her former colleagues and friends, Joanna Flay and Laura Raymond have set up a fundraising appeal on Go Fund Me to help raise money for Sharon's family, which currently stands at £4,397.
