As part of our ongoing commitment to the fitness of Horsham District residents, The Pavilions in the Park is proud to announce our Aquatics Activities Week running from Tuesday 22nd – Sunday 27th April.
The aim of the week is to show people the benefits of swimming and water workouts whilst having fun at the same time.
We have an action-packed programme of free activities throughout the week, with all ages being catered for.
Aqua Fit, Aqua Natal and Aqua Zumba are all on offer, encouraging non-swimmers to make a splash and reap the benefits of regular exercise. For swimmers, we are running pool based personal training sessions called Swimfit.
These sessions set personal achievement goals for individuals, improving stroke technique and overall fitness.
Tim Bolton, Contract Manager for the Horsham District, said:“We are delighted to offer this week of exciting activities to our local residents. We are committed to helping everyone achieve their fitness goals and are confident that everyone can find a session to meet their needs, experienced and non-swimmers alike.”
Of course, family swimming is just as important as sessions and we are offering ‘Kids for a Quid’ throughout the week. Children swim for only £1 each from Tuesday 22nd – Friday 25th April between 4.00pm – 7.00pm.
Swimming is a great way for children to improve their personal safety and social skills in a fun, relaxing environment. In addition to this, all our Toddler Splash sessions will be free on this week.
Toddler Splash introduces under 5’s to the pool with their parents, using floats, balls and toys to improve their water confidence.
We are proud to report that Places for People Leisure has gained exclusive rights to SWIMTAG, which is being rolled out across our pools nationwide. SWIMTAG is a fantastic system which tracks your swim for you; the swimmer’s distance, calories burnt and speed are all recorded on the lightweight wristband and the data is uploaded to their personal account. SWIMTAG is the perfect way for regular swimmers to push themselves those extra lengths and reach the next level in swimming capability.
