Staff, governors, parents and children at Loxwood School all participated in a sponsored bike ride from Rudgwick to Shoreham via the South Downs Link on Saturday October 11.

The event was organised in order to raise funds for a much needed school library and new entrance to improve and update our school facilities.

Tim McMath, the headteacher said that despite the weather, punctures and being a little saddle sore everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and completed the 25 miles.

The event has so far raised £1200.00, but the total for the project is expected to be in the region of £100,000.00.

We have already held other fundraising events and are saving hard for our dream library and would very much like to hear from other sponsors or benefactors who might like to help us with funding towards the project.

Please contact Mrs Hannington on 01403 752207 if you feel that you can help us, we would appreciate it.
