Your chance to sponsor the Rooks

Due to the unusual circumstances of it being a rearranged game, Lewes Football Club do not have a match or ball sponsor for the last home game of the season against Bath next Tuesday.

The club have therefore put both opportunities up for auction to the highest bidder or bidders.

For the match sponsorship up to four people will get admission to the game, hospitality at half time and full time (including alcoholic drinks after the game) and get to choose Man of the Match and present the award on the pitch.

For ball sponsorship two people get entry to the game and hospitality as described above.

All six people will also be invited to present the Player of the Season Award as voted for by fans.

Bids should be made to: david.arnold@me.com and updates will appear on the Lewes FC Fans Forum.

The auction will close at 7pm this Sunday evening and the top bids received by then will become match and ball sponsors respectively.

Lewes FC Management Committee Member David Arnold said: "This is a great opportunity for a group of individuals or a local business to be a significant part of the final home game of the season.

"It's been a really tough year for finding sponsors due to the economy and the uncertainties about the very existence of the club earlier in the year.

"We hope the auction brings forward some reasonable bids but whatever we raise will be welcome income for the Rooks."

The bidding opened on Wednesday at 100 for match sponsorship and 50 for ball sponsorship.
