Waiting for Video...

CHILDREN at Billingshurst Primary School have welcomed in the Chinese New Year.

The year of the Dragon was celebrated by the children at the Station Road school, by wearing traditional Chinese clothes, learning the lion dance and eating authentic food donated by Billingshurst’s China Brasserie 2.

The food the children enjoyed varied from prawn crackers to egg fried rice and the more celebratory dumplings (or ‘Jiaozi’) and noodles.

Reception leader Alison Wood, said: “The children had a lovely afternoon and it has been very interesting to learn about the different representation that each food has.”
