PANCAKES went flying and ‘eggs’ rolled around the pavement as the Horsham Rotary Pancake Races took place this lunchtime (Thursday) in the Carfax.

Several teams took part, aiming to pick up the pancake trophy, and mascots, such as Horsham’s own Howie the Hornet, took part in egg and spoon races.

TV presenter Dave Benson Phillips compered as the races whittled down contestants until Sainsbury’s finally took the main title.
