VIDEO: Waitrose plans for Storrington unanimously approved
An expanded Waitrose store is set for the village of Storrington as plans were green-lighted by the council today (Tuesday December 18).
Horsham District Council’s development control south committee granted planning permission to an expanded store in Old Mill Square at a meeting this afternoon.
The new store could provide employment for an additional 80 staff.
Plans have raised the ire of Save Our Storrington action group, who have campaigned against the expansion, on the grounds of traffic problems, air quality in the village, and the size of the store.
