Sledges slipped and cars skidded after a several inches of snow settled over Storrington this morning.
Grit on the A283 quickly turned the main road to brown slush, but side roads and pavements grew a thick layer of powdery white, masking treacherous compacted snow and black ice in places.
Strong wind brought horizonal flurries, but many families weren’t put off and headed out wrapped head to toe, determined to have some wintry fun.
