Firefighters used a snake eye camera to locate a burning smell in Horsham town centre on Friday afternoon (February 15).
Crew arrived on the scene in Market Square just before 5pm.
Whilst investigating, a snake eye camera was sent down a drain where they discovered smouldering vegetation.
The service returned the following day to check the scene.
