VIDEO: Dogs rescued from ‘horrible’ meat trade
A Southwater resident has adopted two dogs from Thailand, perhaps saved from being skinned alive and beaten to death.
Lorraine Hepburn, 56 of The Farthings, learned of the ‘horrible’ practices of the dog meat trade from the charity Soi Dog Foundation.
Spurred to help by the shocking revelations of strays and pets being smuggled to China, Vietnam, or Korea for their meat, Lorraine gave mongrels Odie and Fay a new home in Britain.
