Two men were injured after the glider they were flying landed heavily in Parham yesterday (Thursday June 6).

Sussex Air Ambulance and two South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) crews were called to Parham Park, near Pulborough, just before midday.

The two men were taken by road to Worthing Hospital with minor injuries, having been treated at the scene.

A spokesperson for SECAmb said the injuries were initially thought to be serious, but confirmed the pair only suffered minor injuries.

One had suffered an injury to his lower arm, while the other sustained injuries to his abdomen.
