Trick or Treat postponed as Horsham USA recovers from Hurricane Sandy
Trees down in Horsham USA.
Horsham’s US namesake has had to postpone one of the biggest nights of the year tonight (Wednesday October 31) thanks to Hurricane Sandy.
The Philadelphia township won’t now be seeing Trick or Treat events until Saturday (November 3).
It’s estimated 70 per cent of the area (around 7,500 residents) is still without power with nearly a dozen roads blocked due to fallen trees and power lines down.
Branches and other debris are scattered around and the township has asked everyone to postpone their Hallowe’en celebrations until the weekend.
Schools have been closed all week along with some businesses and government facilities.
