Teenager arrested following string of cat shooting incidents

An 18-year-old has been arrested after a series of incidents in which cats were shot with an air rifle.

Surrey Police say the shootings, which led to one cat having to be put down, and caused serious injury to others, happened around Cranleigh and Guildford.

The man has been released on bail until Thursday June 2.

A statement from the police said they would like to thank those who came forward with information, but they urge anybody else who witnessed any of these incidents, or who may have useful information about them, to get in touch.
