Tea room plan for Southwater

PLANS have been submitted to Horsham District Council to turn a popular florist’s store in Southwater in to a tea rooms.

The current business, Stems, at 18 Lintot Square will be relocating and expanding when it moves to the neighbouring unit.

Stems florist owner Claire Cartwright is “looking forward to moving from 18 to 19 Lintot Square”. The new premises will be ‘much bigger’ and Claire will be able to offer a “fantastic selection of fresh flowers, as well as an ever growing stock of quality giftware and finishing touches for the home”.

Stems was County Times best newcomer business award winner back in 2007.

“The success of the shop is largely due to the dedication of the small team of florists who pride themselves on quality customer service and fresh exciting and unusual flowers. Claire also styles flowers for approximately 50 weddings a year, relying mainly on recommendation to maintain this volume of work”, said Claire.

The new shop will open in August. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday 9-5.30pm.

Last week the County Times reported the plan to introduce the cafe and tea room called Hatties at Stems’ current location.

Hatties Café Tea Room, which is set to open next door to the new Stems site, will offer a counter and table service. Proposed opening times are seven days a week, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm.
