Shoreham pensioner angry over change to regional news

A TELEVISION viewer is furious with Sky after it seemingly moved his house more than 60 miles along the coast.

Paul Plumb, of Mill Hill Gardens, Shoreham, said that after Sky retuned some of its channels, he was changed to BBC's South East region, meaning he was receiving news for Kent rather than Sussex.

"When you tune into Sky on channel 101, when the national news finishes, we have always had the local news, which is BBC South," said 85-year-old Mr Plumb.

"All of a sudden, two weeks ago, they have decided to switch the regions and now we are South East.

"I have checked with my neighbours and they are all in the same boat."

Local

Mr Plumb said he had told Sky about the problem, but, so far, nothing had been done to fix it.

"It is like someone living in London receiving Birmingham news," he said.

"We are living in Shoreham and we are not getting the local news for the local area.

"We are getting it for Dover and Dungerness; we are not getting our West Sussex news at all.

"It is about all these areas that we don't know anything about."
