Serious injuries after Ifold crash

A man suffered serious injuries following a three vehicle collision in Plaistow Road near Ifold on Saturday January 5.

The collision took place at around 6pm and involved a black Volkswagen travelling eastbound and a red Smart car and silver Vauxhall both travelling westbound.

The driver of the Smart car, a 38-year-old man from Haslemere, Surrey, received serious, but not life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Guildford Hospital for treatment.

A 33-year-old man from the Horsham area, driver of the Volkswagen, and the driver of the Vauxhall, a 51-year-old woman from the Billingshurst area, were not injured in the collision.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 0116 of 6/1.
