Pupils create mosaic wall tile of school’s logo
William Penn School pupils with the mosaic
Last school year all of KS2 from William Penn School, Brooks Green Road, Coolham, worked with their KS1 teacher, Mrs Fiona Nethercleft to create a huge mosaic wall tile depicting the school’s logo.
During the summer the mosaic was installed on the school wall outside the headteacher’s office in a prime position to be enjoyed by the school community.
Mrs Nethercleft has worked on mosaics in the past and had previously been commissioned to create mosaic tiles for a church and for another school. So, when she joined William Penn, she was the perfect person to pass these skills onto the children.
Pictured here, youngsters with the mosaic.
