Pudsey and friends return to Horsham next month

Horsham Set for Success mascot Ringo and Pudsey after last year's event

Horsham Set for Success mascot Ringo and Pudsey after last year's event

After the fantastic success of Pudsey’s Party in Horsham’s Carfax last year with all of his mascot mates, he is coming back to see his pals again on Sunday November 4.

Dave Benson Philips will be hosting Pudsey & his friends in a wonderful live action packed song and dance show between 1.30pm and 4.30pm suitable for all the family!

The sun will have its hat on, the wheels will go round, the Birdies will flap, there will be lots of bared necessities, there may be singing in the rain and Elvis will be seen yet again.

There will be over 20 of his mascot pals joining in the fun including bears, dogs, giraffes, a hornet, rabbit, a dragon and many strange species as well.

Visitors can get their face ‘Pudseyfied’ with brightly coloured spots, and have photocalls with the mascots.

Last year’s party enabled Horsham to hand over a cheque for £3,200 to the BBC’s Children In Need Charity live on the Children In Need Show. This year we would like to make it even bigger and get Horsham really on the map.

We invite businesses to contribute to the Horsham ‘Children In Need’ fund by maybe organising staff or customer collections, or arranging an interesting office or shop challenge, or just making a generous donation, all contributing businesses are welcome to have their banner in Horsham’s Carfax on the November 4 and there will be a draw with the three winning businesses being invited to the live Children in Need Show on Friday November 16 to hand over the Horsham cheque.

Contributions should be made to the Rotary Club of Horsham, Children in Need. Further details at the Rotary website.

Individuals can also help by donating online at https://mydonate.bt.com/events/rchpudsey2012.

Horsham Rotary Club will donate £500 plus it will add ten per cent to all individual donations made up to a maximum of a further £1,000 donation.

If any entertainers - clowns, magicians, acrobats - would like to come along on the event and add to the fun on display, please email horshamrotary@btconnect.com for full information.

Pudsey and Pals are not too keen on huge downpours of rain, and therefore, we ask that all people who are joining the Party on November 4 visit www.horshamrotary.org.uk if the weather appears adverse. The website will give the latest news about the show.

The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Horsham with support from Horsham District Council. The wonderful Children’s Trust at Tadworth are organising the Pals and those very nice people from the British Legion Poppy Appeal will also be on hand to add colour to the proceedings. Please support them as well.
