A police officer has pleaded not guilty to driving without due care and attention after he was involved in a crash in Warnham which left a woman with serious injuries.

PC Andrew Crabb, 46, who is based at Surrey Police Headquarters in Guildford, appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court yesterday (January 29).

Crabb was driving an unmarked police Ford transit van on the A29, in Warnham, on June 28, when he was involved in a collision with a woman’s Ford Fiesta.

The 34-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital where she remained in a serious condition last week.

Crabb will appear at Horsham Magistrates’ Court on May 19 and he was given unconditional bail.
