Police and bomb disposal crew at house in Warnham

Latest news.

Latest news.

A house in Warnham was searched on Thursday morning and a man was arrested, Sussex Police report.

Local residents were alarmed to see explosives disposal experts arrive at the scene, but police say they were there to deal with fireworks that were found in the house.

A statement from the police said: “Sussex Police carried out a search warrant at an address in Church Street, Warnham, at around 7.30am on Thursday 28 February.

“A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of distributing or making indecent images. He has been released on police bail until August 2, 2013, pending further enquires. He is no longer staying at that address.

“A bomb disposal unit attended the address after concerns were raised in relation to some fireworks found inside.”
