Plans for 140 new homes in Shoreham
PEOPLE are being asked for their views on plans for 140 new homes in Shoreham.
Consultation on the proposals for Pond Road finishes on December 18.
There are two options being considered in the development brief for the site.
Both include a new library, health centre, Citizens Advice Bureau office, community centre and up to 140 new homes.
The first option is for 60 assisted-living homes, 25 town houses and 55 flats. The second is for 53 assisted homes, 18 town houses and 69 apartments.
Shoreham Centre
The proposals are on display at the Shoreham Centre, in Pond Road, Shoreham, until Sunday, November 29.
They will then be displayed at Shoreham library, in Pond Road, from Monday to Sunday, December 6, at the Shoreham Food Festival, on Coronation Green, from December 8 to December 12 and at the Civic Centre, Ham Road, from December 14 to December 18.
Council officers will be available to answer questions at the library on Wednesday, December 2, from 10am to 1pm, and at the food and drink festival on Saturday, December 12, from 10am to 2pm.
There is also a questionnaire for comments at www.adur.gov.uk/pond-road and, for those without internet access at home, this can be filled out free of charge at the library and the Civic Centre.
The buildings on the proposed site are owned by Adur District Council, West Sussex County Council and West Sussex Primary Care Trust.
