Person freed from car in Faygate collision

Hydraulic equipment was used last night (Monday November 19) to free a person from a car following a collision in Faygate.

Firefighters were called to the A264 at around 6.30pm where three cars were involved, affecting both sides of the road.

The trapped person was freed and taken to hospital by ambulance.

A further person was assessed by ambulance paramedics at the scene.

Firefighters then made the scene safe.

Traffic was backed up along the A264 while recovery work was carried out.
