Overnight ice risk for Horsham
THE bulk of tonight’s (Thursday February 9) snow should miss the Horsham district and the south eastern corner of the UK.
Ian Michaelwaite, of netweather.tv, said: “There may be some light flurries, particularly to the west of the region, but these will clear, leaving a dry night with another severe freeze setting in the early hours.
“There is more moisture in the air tonight, so a more traditional frost than we have been used to is likely, with frozen surfaces and windscreens needing some attention tomorrow morning.
“The end of the week and weekend continue the theme - no respite from the cold, possible wintry flurries on Sunday and frosty mornings as we head into the half term week.
“The cold spell has been with us for over two weeks now, and it’s worth checking on any elderly or vulnerable family, friends or neighbours to make sure they are safe and warm as the cold weather continues.”
