Horsham district is celebrating its 10th Food and Drink festival

There is still time to take your taste buds on a tour of the Horsham District and celebrate the tenth anniversary of the annual four week Food & Drink Festival, which is all about fantastic locally produced food and drink. 

The Horsham District Food & Drink Festival programme runs until Sunday 30 September and it is packed with lots of amazing special offers, discounts and events, courtesy of all the participating businesses, with something to suit everyone. There are over 100 generous special offers, discounts and events in the programme.

Many of the District’s fabulous eateries are offering a special local produce menu or free wine with food or a great discount during the Festival month. There are also lots of producers or farmers making special offers with discounts or free products or tastings.

There’s also special offers such as buy one get one free on cream tea’s or £2 off a £10 shop in a farm shop deli or a free box of cupcakes with a cake order.

The 40 page programme has all the offers and events and many businesses will ask to see it to qualify.

The Festival is organised by Horsham District Council, with sponsorship and support from local businesses to promote local produce and the rural economy.

Still to come on the four week Festival events calendar:

- Pulborough Harvest Fair on Saturday 22 September, a free fun day out for all the family on the East Glebe Field, opposite the Parish Church with free parking.

There are also many smaller events which require prior booking or some that need to be booked and paid in advance:

Saturday 22 September – WJ Kings is holding a brewery open day. Tickets must be ordered in advance through the brewery.

Thursday 27 September – Autumn Forage walk 10 till 12noon at Brinsbury – booking essential through Brinsbury College.

Sunday 30 September:

Open Day at the Coco Loco Chocolate barn in West Grinstead.

Village Greens Food Fair

Daylands Farm – Cream Tea and Farm walk – book and pay via the farm.

The Sussex Oak at Warnham will be holding a Food and Drink quiz night and cheese tasting in aid of Sussex Air Ambulance. Tables and teams must be booked via The Sussex Oak in advance.

Horsham Gourmet Bus Tour – A vintage bus tour visiting Coco Loco, Wiston Vineyard, Sussex Produce Company, Dark Star Brewery. Setting off from Horsham with nibbles then a local produce lunch, quiz along the way and samples. Needs to be booked and paid via the website.
