A motorcyclist ‘lost control’ and became ‘wedged’ under a parked car in Warnham today (Monday December 10), say Sussex Police.
Emergency services including an air ambulance were called to Church Street at around 11.35am.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, was rushed to hospital after suffering jaw related injuries.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “The motorcyclist was travelling along Church Street, when he lost control, fell off and was wedged under a parked car.
“He suffered serious injuries but not life threatening. No one else was involved.”
He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton by road as a priority patient.
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) added: “He had come off his motorbike and collided with a parked car. He had been knocked out for a period of time.
“He was collared and placed on a vacuum mattress. The man was taken by road to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton as a priority patient.”
The road was closed at Church Street, School Hill and Bell Road, and re-opened at 12.15pm.
