Motorcyclist seriously injured in Ashurst collision
A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries following a collision in Ashurst near Steyning on Wednesday (October 11).
The collision between a Yamaha motorbike and a green Ford Fiesta happened on the B2135 at 8.15pm.
The rider of the motorbike, a 51-year-old man from Crawley, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with serious injuries.
The driver of the Ford Fiesta suffered shock and whiplash but was not taken to hospital, and the driver of a third vehicle, a black Mercedes, was unharmed.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “We thank motorists for their patience while the road was closed for emergency services to deal with the incident.
“Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 1565.”
