Microbiz mania in Horsham

MICROBIZ mania returned to Horsham when over 100 local businesses gathered for an intensive burst of networking.

Visitors also enjoyed inspirational presentations from business professionals at Business Link and asb law.

The emphasis was on positive opportunities during the credit crunch with a mission to engage, inspire and empower small businesses and start up firms.

The masterclass was the brainchild of Horsham District Council's business development unit.

Speakers were Rachel Crossey and Kerry Kyriacou from Business Link - a support service dedicated to helping businesses develop.

Partner Greg Burgess from asb law, one of the top UK law firms, was also on hand to advise on careful cutbacks and strategic planning.

The event aimed to bring small business owners and start ups together to network.

It was opened by district council economy chief Roger Paterson (Con, Pulborough and Coldwaltham).

The district council is now looking for small business owners or anyone thinking of starting a business, to get in touch and shape the content of future Microbiz Masterclasses.

To register an interest for attendance or make a suggestion for future events, contact the business development team at Horsham District Council on 01403 215529 or email business.development@horsham.gov.uk

This was the third Microbiz Masterclass and was held at the Drill Hall in Denne Road on Monday December 1.

The next Microbiz will be held on March 14, 2009.
