Police are investigating a burglary at the Co Op in High Street, Partridge Green, in the early hours on Saturday morning, 23 February.

Two men were seen leaving the shop at about 3am in a black 4 x 4 car taking with them a large quantity of cigarettes.

DC Andy Blythman said: “This is the latest in a series of nine burglaries, each at Co Ops in Sussex. Thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes have been stolen in these burglaries, each taking place in the early hours with people breaking in and targeting just cigarettes.

“We are seeking witnesses and we are working with neighbouring forces in trying to trace the offenders.”

Anyone who saw anything suspicious or has information about who may be involved is asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 156 23/2 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
