Memorial to Ricky - your views

FRIENDS of Ricky Butler have called for a permanent memorial to the 15-year-old who died tragically at a Hallowe'en Party in Horsham - and we want to hear YOUR ideas.

The Horsham community was hit hard by the news that the fun-loving Forest School student had died after an incident in Gorringes Brook on Saturday November 3.

Record numbers of tributes flooded in to the County Times office and on to our website www.wscountytimes.co.uk last week.

This week we will ask Ricky's family, friends, neighbours and school mates to tell us how they would like to remember the cheeky chap, who brought a smile to so many people's faces.

What do you think?

To share your ideas with us leave a message on this website below, email us here at ct.news@sussexnewspapers.co.uk or telephone chief reporter Tim Raw on 01403 751231.

This permanent memorial could take any form: some possible ideas might include a local public graffiti wall in Ricky's memory, a dedicated skate ramp in Horsham Park, a public area of remembrance, a trust fund in his name.

A full tribute to Ricky appears in today's West Sussex County Times.
