An 80-year-old man has suffered serious head and leg injuries after a collision on the B2139 at Houghton Hill.
Emergency services were called between Whiteways roundabout and Houghton at around 5pm on Monday (February 24).
The collision involved two vehicles.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “An 80-year old Warningcamp man who was driving a blue Ford Fiesta, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and was admitted with serious head and leg injuries.
“The 38-year old woman from Burgess Hill who was driving the other car, a silver VW Polo, was treated at St Richards Hospital, Chichester, for slight injuries.”
Inspector Phil Nicholas of the Sussex Road Policing Unit said: “Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact us via 101 or email firstname.lastname@example.org quoting Operation Barsham.”
