Landlords unveil new brew
LANDLORDS Sigrun and Chris Brazier of the Jolly Tanners in Staplefield will be unveiling a new brew made especially for them and named after their pet dogs at their latest beer festival starting tomorrow.
The couple have assembled real ales from breweries across Sussex, Kent, Hampshire and Surrey including award-winning brews and one called Two Dogs, named after the pub's faithful hounds, Akira and Sandor.
Enthusiast Chris said: "It's a great privilege to bring together so many great beers under one roof and I know the regulars and visitors look forward to our beer festivals.
"It's also a great opportunity for those unsure if they like beer to enter into a voyage of discovery, trying the different styles, flavours and textures – I'm sure we'll convert a few people to real ale over the weekend."
Drinkers will also be able to enjoy home-cooked food and live music with John and Boys on Friday; Saturday: The Real Deal with a mix of 50s, 60s and a sprinkling of Johnny Cash; and Sunday: Classic Jazz Trio.
The beer festival starts today (Friday, November 27) and runs through to Sunday (November 29).
