Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne
The Conservative Party candidate Katy Bourne has been elected the Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex it was announced this afternoon (Friday, November 16 2012).
Voters went to the polls yesterday (Thursday November 15) and the count took place in the 13 voting district in the Sussex policing area.
The full results are below, but people in the Horsham district put Mrs Bourne in the top spot with Independent candidate Ian Chisnall in second after the first round of counting.
No candidate got over 50 per cent of the first choice votes, the second choice votes for Mrs Bourne and Labour Candidate Godfrey Daniel were counted and the mother of two had the most votes.
She is a school governor at Oriel High, Crawley and a Mid Sussex District councillor. She is also National Chairman of the Conservative Women’s Organisation.

- The local Horsham District area results for the first stage count of the election for the Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex are as follows (Turnout 16.88 per cent):
Tony Armstrong - UKIP – 2,618 votes
Katy Elizabeth Bourne - The Conservative Party Candidate – 6,324 votes
Ian Chisnall - Independent – 3,556 votes
Godfrey Daniel – Labour Party Candidate – 2,073 votes
David Rogers - Liberal Democrat – 2,154 votes
The total number of rejected ballot papers for the first stage count was 498.

Katy Elizabeth Bourne, The Conservative Party Candidate - 20,393 (total 80,028 votes)
Godfrey Daniel, Labour Party Candidate - 14,837 (total 55,602 votes)
- The local Horsham District area results for the second stage count of the election are as follows:
· Katy Elizabeth Bourne – The Conservative Party Candidate – 2,066 votes
· Godfrey Daniel – Labour Party Candidate – 1,078 votes
The total number of rejected ballot papers for the second stage count was 1,276.

Godfrey Daniel, Labour Party Candidate - 40,765 votes (22 per cent)

Tony Armstrong, UKIP 29,327 votes (15 per cent)
David Rogers, Liberal Democrat 20,579 votes (11 per cent)
